Welcome to the 2010 Freemasons Reel Science Film Festival for New Zealand senior secondary students run by the Royal Society of New Zealand.

Science Geek or Filmmaker?

Science is about observation and what better tool for that than a video camera? You could win a week of mentoring with professional filmmakers and a grand prize of a MacBook Pro and Final Cut Express software but…you have to enter!

WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Two students from Pakuranga College have won a science film competition with a five minute film about medical research.

Christian Jones and Allen Feng were among 16 students who were finalists in the inaugural Freemasons Reel Science Film Festival competition run by the Royal Society of New Zealand.

The winners of the most popular vote contest, Wellington High School students Orion Holder-Monk, Jordan Keen and Wilson Cain present the cam-corder worth $1,000 to Prue Kelly, Principal at Wellington High School.
